Hosting Environment
Overview
Our hosting provider was founded on the understanding Australia required a world-class web hosting facility specifically
designed to meet the needs of business owners. All data is hosted on advanced web hosting infrastructure typically
designed for multi-million dollar websites, but made available in a VPS Cloud environment.
Word Class Data Centre
The data centre is located at a state-of-the-art facility in Sydney. The Sydney facility is Australia’s largest carrier neutral
facility giving customers the very best in environment, security and back-up systems.
Data Security
The data centre maintains the highest level of building security around the clock. The centre’s multiple CCTV points, secure
entries and exits and limited access areas are all managed by building control staff 24×7.
An optimal operating environment is maintained at all times. The temperature in the technical space stays at 22°C (±2°C),
with a humidity range of 50% (±10%). Fire detection and suppression equipment includes smoke and heat detectors in all
areas, dry pipe sprinklers in technical areas, dry risers to all floors and smoke and gas clearance system. The power supply
is provided through a minimum N+1 redundancy; the main power is supplied via two 33kV dedicated incomers, a diverse
A&B power supply distributed at 11kV via a rotary UPS and multiple ring main circuits. All power and cooling in the data
centre are supported by up to 22 rotary UPS units. During power outages, there is an onsite diesel power generator
(360,000 litre capacity) that can support the centre at full capacity for 24 hours. This is backed up by a 2 hour/24×7 fuel
delivery contract.
High Speed Data
The data centre facility features multiple redundant tier 1 connectivity with over 1600Mbit/s, available bandwidth with an
average utilisation of between 25% - 35%. This can instantly be scaled as required. All services are run on redundant
hardware with enterprise level vendor support agreements in place. The Cisco network hardware is configured in
Active/Active High Availability (HA) failover mode with 24 x 7 x 365 vendor service contracts and spare hardware
The hosting solution has redundant Tier 1 network connectivity. The solution can be scaled or hardware can be upgraded
if/as required.

Servers
o All servers can be remotely power cycled
99.99% Service Level Agreement
o All hardware includes a 99.99% Service Level Agreement. The host is responsible for maintaining the hardware
24 x 7 x 365 from both a commercial and technical perspective. Additionally, the host has standby hardware
onsite available in the event of critical hardware failure.
24 x 7 x 365 Monitoring
o Hardware & Applications are monitored 24 x 7 x 365 and real time online reporting is included.
Service Level Agreement
o It is important to note that all our VPS solutions includes a 99.99% uptime SLA in terms of the network and
infrastructure availability.
o The virtualization solution using VMware includes High Availability with auto failover onto another available
instance within seconds in the event that the hardware fails. This ensures maximum uptime and redundancy.
o The hosting provider manages their own infrastructure and does not purchase data centre racks from any 3rd
parties. The hosting provider has over 140 employees and has been voted Number 1 Enterprise Level Hosting
Company in APC technology magazine. Additionally, they are the only company in Australia that exclusively
registers ALL of the .gov.au (Government Organisations) in Australia.
o The hosting provider employs over 20 Full Time System Administrators and Network Engineers and 60 Technical
Support staff; they do not outsource or rely on 3rd parties and have enough staff in house to ensure that they will
be available 24 x 7 x 365.
Hosting Costs:
All hosting costs are included in the annual licensing fees.
